I have felt from the beginning of this venture that it was mine to lose. What I mean by that is so many people have been willing to come and give me that chance. Thank you for being patient. Three weeks into this our staff has found their stride. We thank you for your support.
MarleneMarlene Stublernoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7268622326034701199.post-22118970373302150002010-03-24T10:43:27.076-05:002010-03-24T10:43:27.076-05:00That wrap looks awesome. That wrap looks awesome.Deliahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01170626005079805743noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7268622326034701199.post-90563722204854336142010-03-22T11:45:47.228-05:002010-03-22T11:45:47.228-05:00My husband and I have been there twice and both ti...My husband and I have been there twice and both times we waited a very long time for our food, we ordered simple dishes like sandwiches and chicken fingers. They were comping dishes right and left because of the service not being timely amd people were waiting a very long time. If they want this to be a lunch place for the professionals, I would suggest having a set menu for lunch so that those who are on a limited time schedule can get their food and go quickly. Just an suggestion. I'm not sure if we will be back.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7268622326034701199.post-55510727850178965662010-03-16T21:18:57.534-05:002010-03-16T21:18:57.534-05:00I've been there for lunch and breakfast this w...I've been there for lunch and breakfast this week. Love their burgers - the bread is oh so good and the burgers are juicy. Breakfast featured real eggs. Yum! Food has more flavor than the offerings at Lola and the the prices are better.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17333382268292453140noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7268622326034701199.post-20015563498085734972010-03-16T16:31:02.815-05:002010-03-16T16:31:02.815-05:00Patience will pay off greatly at the Pie in the Sk...Patience will pay off greatly at the Pie in the Sky. We ate there today and it was excellent! We had the chicken tortilla soup, turkey bacon sandwiches with sweet potato fries, the kids had cheese burgers and macaroni and cheese. We ended the experience with Chocolate Cream Pie and Bumbleberry pie with whipped cream. It was all excellent! And the owners live in our wonderful neighborhood and are the SWEETEST people ever. It will be one of our favorite places to do some GOOD eatin'! Great post Viula.

IzzyIzzyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17809995621493155855noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7268622326034701199.post-83020397398497225272010-03-15T15:33:49.507-05:002010-03-15T15:33:49.507-05:00Viula, I echo your comments on the kinks- we have ...Viula, I echo your comments on the kinks- we have been twice- both times for breakfast. Both experiences were not without their flaws- but I suppose they'll get that worked out as they move forward? Here are a couple of comments I have for the owners, and I'm hoping they will take notice ;)

1.) Its way too darn hot in your eatery when its packed. Please try and keep it cooler as we move into summer. There isnt ANYTHING worse than trying to eat with two 5 year olds when they are sweating at the table!

2.) Get the ice machine fixed-If you cant get it fixed- send someone to the quicky-mart to buy bags of ice. There was no ice this past weekend for the drinks- which just added to my issue of being hot in the 1st place!

3.) ORDER MORE PIES! They were out of almost every "slice" on their menu by 11:00am on Sunday- and most of the pies on the shelf were picked through- leaving a very sad selection

4.) Get a bike rack! We bicycled there (4 of us) and had to lean our bikes against the bldg, with nothing to bolt or lock them to. If we want people to ride to places in the Heights- we have to provide parking for bikes

Other than that feedback- the food was great. Lets just hope everything else works itself out.

AmydellAmydellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01274558555143546643noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7268622326034701199.post-53631667065597587692010-03-12T21:55:26.439-06:002010-03-12T21:55:26.439-06:00I do like Pie in the Sky! We went there once for breakfast (I was the one who mention on HAIF about the lack of high chairs that you commented on) and went there for lunch yesterday. All very good. My buddy and I were talking that this place may hurt Lola a little bit. Really good food at a better price point (I think), but I'm sure there is room for both of them. Anyway, I enjoy your blog very much!Marknoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7268622326034701199.post-31019498529727318562010-03-12T17:25:50.181-06:002010-03-12T17:25:50.181-06:00We went here today for lunch and it was really goo...We went here today for lunch and it was really good! They are still working out a few kinks being the first week open (and a few diners were less that gracious about it when we were there), but the staff is nice, the food is awesome and I had pecan pie at lunch.
